Project Location: Stockton, CA Square Feet: 8,060 Construction Cost: $4.2 million Architects: WDM / GRA Architecture The 8,060 S.F. Technical Career Center provides Lincoln H.S. students development in the field of engineering and construction. The building is designed as a teaching facility, exposing structural building elements as a teaching display. Mechanical systems are displayed, the main electric room is completely exposed in a glass vault, structural steel connections are exposed, and electrical raceways are highlighted by surface mounted raceways and cable trays. The building exterior materials of a CMU wall and exposed steel provide low maintenance and articulate how building materials work. The building provides natural light through sky lights above, while large window alcoves allow campus view or interior work projects. |
